Coolest Idea Ever.

www.playingforchange.com

Basically, a guy travels around the world with a sort of traveling studio and gets different street musicians to contribute to a song which is then mixed into a final version. very nicely done.

Need more Xbox controllers....

I need to pick up some controllers before August 14th because I know as soon as one of my receivers slips in the snow and I throw a pick, my controller is going into the wall.

The Weathers Been F*cking With Us Non Stop Man.

I with all this Seattle type weather we have been experiencing of late, our town could get some Seattle quality bands. Just a minor thought. An insignificant moment at best.

On Writing Efficiently

Why, in essays, do teachers expect us to cover in 4-6 pages what it took 100s of pages and sometimes multiple books to write?

Hi my name is sarcasm.

Today, walking down baxter st. towards finley, a man approached me while i was texting and caught me off guard with a compliment.

"you look alright, i know you're all right."

intially i was unaware he was talking to me, then it became increasingly clear what it is he wanted. my mind raced for a witty comment to make my escape to when he provided me the opening.

"can you give me a dollar? cmon," he implored, "we're the same kind."

the same kind...obviously, referring to my skin color. an appeal many black homeless people try to use on me, and today i was on my game, responding,

"yea, we are the same. i could use a dollar too. we are both broke."

he was shocked and paused a moment. i gave him a nod and a smile and continued down the street.

Economics

I have added to my best of the blogosphere section links to two prominent economic blogs. I feel their commentary proves to be more than useful in the context of current developments and debates occurring in Washington.

Specifically, Paul Krugman touched on a little insight into the politics that are playing apart in the construction, or in some cases destruction, of the stimulus bill currently being circulated in congress. Posted here a few days ago.

On another note. The University of Georgia's campus movie fest is a sham. Adrian Cox's "Requiem" was by far the most outstanding work cinematically and creativelly. Rightfully it won best drama but how it did not find its way into best film overrall is beyond me.

Back to School...

...to prove to daddy im not a fool.

I dropped my first class of the day, 10 minutes in. The class seemed uninteresting as a whole but the teacher was tight. He made fun of my hair 30 seconds in.

He was an older man, hair was the latter stages of grey and becoming wholly white, and he wore a grey and stereotypically professor-like suit. He was the type tog et off on his sense of humor, constantly making jokes and pausing for laughter.

He was somewhat funny though, I could dig his style minus his hard ass approach. A 12 page syllabus and a desire to scare shitless any student wavering in confidence. I was not scared. I just didnt give two shits about the topic. I only signed up for the class so that my day would start at 1230, but I have decided to forgo the extra hours of sleep for a more worthwhile and ultimatelly more interesting class.

Now I have a 4.5 hour break in between classes. shits weak. I dunno. I have so much to do and so little time.

Am I excited about anything? I dunno...let me think..........existentialism class. yea. and italian. yea. and not having 18 hours of class. yea. and xbox.

I spend most of my time oscillating between being awesome and being neurotic.
If I you find me talking to myself it's because I am the only interesting person around. yerdig?
I know too many people in montecarlo. I know too many people everywhere.
